What Parents Need to Know
New to marching band — or new to high school altogether? Start with these five things. We’ll help you figure out the rest as we go.
Dates + Schedule
When do we need to be there?
Rehearsals, performances and schedule changes — plus where to find the most current information.
Dates + Schedule →
Uniforms
What does my student need?
Capes, uniform pants, show shirts, shoes and socks — what the program provides, what families provide and how to care for it.
Uniform Guide →
Attendance + Conflicts
Every spot — every “dot” — matters.
Why full-band rehearsals matter, what a “dot” is and what to do when your student has a conflict.
Attendance + Conflicts →
Game Day
What actually happens?
From after-school rehearsal and Band dinner to uniforms, performances, cleanup and pickup — here’s the rundown.
Game Day Guide →
Band Camp
The season starts here.
Band Camp is where students learn marching fundamentals, start building the field show and get to know the people they’ll be marching beside all season.
Save the dates: August 16–20, 2027

Parent Pro Tip: You don’t have to learn marching band all at once. Bookmark this guide, keep an eye on BoosterHub and ParentSquare, and ask questions. We’re figuring out Year 2 together.
Your New Band + Jazz Booster Club
We're building the support behind the sound — and the field.
Parents, families and community supporters working together to help our students and the Band + Jazz program grow.
New Club. Building Together.
We really need more parents to jump in.
We're a new Booster Club, and we're still building the team that makes all of this possible — volunteers, uniforms, meals, Band Camp, fundraising and plenty of things we haven't figured out yet.
Not sure how you can help? Perfect.
You don't need marching experience, a special skill or even to know what you want to do yet. Come meet us, lend a hand when you can and learn alongside us.

An Easy Place to Start
Jump in on Game Day!
Needed for Friday's Game!
Help with capes, meals, field photos, the Band swag table or wherever an extra hand is needed. It's an easy way to meet other Band families and be part of the fun.
There's a place for you here: the "put me to work" parent, the behind-the-scenes parent and the "I'm not sure yet, but I'm willing" parent.
Marching Band in 60 Seconds
Think Broadway musical on a football field.
Students learn music and their individual parts during class. After-school rehearsals bring the whole band together to add movement, formations and timing.
You can rehearse the parts separately. You need the full cast to build the show.
Year 2
4 Game Shows

The Marching Advantage
College, careers — and far beyond the field.
Marching band asks students to learn complex material, move as one team, adapt in real time, manage competing demands, lead their peers and perform under pressure.
Those experiences can become real advantages in college applications — and later in engineering, technology, business and other careers.
